Why, in the face of my professed faith, do I often succumb to the pressures of life’s challenges and struggles—whether they be my own or those of my cherished loved ones? I want to have unwavering belief in God’s power in my life that nothing in the world can touch. In Psalm 136:1, the Bible declares that “his love endures forever,” an eternal and boundless love. I aspire to nurture a faith that is immovable and firmly anchored in the promises of God. A faith that remains steadfast and unshaken by the ebb and flow of circumstances. My prayer today for myself and my family and friends would be that we could cast into God’s radiant light all our problems (big and small). If we can do this, I am convinced that His glorious love would give us profound understanding, strength, serenity, and most of all, our own light to shine into the world.
